Improving Review and Release Controls
The summer update of eSign Document QMS and Training introduces improvements in both the review and release areas:
- Outdated reviews are now highlighted in the Review tab to make it clear which approvals are affected when the page version has changed after signing. The review panel also redisplays the Approve/Reject buttons for users with outdated reviews to make it easier to review and decide on the new content.
- The rule that only current Owners can start the next revision has been made configurable at the space level. This can be useful for teams that want to allow non-owners to initiate a new revision of an existing document.
- Owners can now edit the Document Name after Starting the new Revision to accommodate late title changes for the Release Copy.
- A Prerelease check has been added to detect if the Working Copy Page Title was changed after starting the new revision. This check will prompt the user to review the target Release Title to ensure it is still accurate. If necessary the user can Edit the Document Name prior to release to amend the Release Copy title.
- Email notifications will see a minor visual refresh and improved resilience.
These changes are available now in the V3 (eSign on Forge) version of eSign Documents. Customers on the V2 series will not see these changes until they upgrade to the new version.
